Background & Training
I have over 5 years’ experience working within the field of psychotherapy and over 12 years’ experience in coaching for mental health. I began my training in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in BSc Psychology and Counselling. I trained at Regent’s University London on the Advanced Diploma as an Integrative Psychotherapist, after having completed my initial 2-year Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Academically, I have also completed a Masters Degree in Jungian & Post-Jungian Psychology to which I integrate into my work along with a 16-week Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems Therapy.
I have developed an integrative way of working, to which I draw from the teachings of ‘Carl Jung’, Addiction’s Specialist ‘Gabor Mate’, Marshall Rosenberg’s ‘Non-Violent Communication’, lectures from ‘Alan Watts’ as well as ‘Internal Family Systems Therapy’. This training is duelled with other approaches that I trained in during my formal psychotherapy training. For more information, please click the Therapy link.
In 2016, I completed a ten-day silent meditation course called ‘Vipassana’. I use this practice as well as that of psychotherapy as a fundamental approach when working with trauma as a route to psychological balance and wholeness.
I have a background in sports as a 1st-team university tennis player and over 12 years’ experience as a professional tennis coach. I also have experience within the field of sports psychology, having practiced and taught mindfulness techniques to high-level sporting athletes. These include; the Vipassana and Mind-Set techniques. These practically integrate meditation and self-discipline in order to perform healthily at the highest level. This experience has allowed me to offer an approach that can be solution-focused whilst working to great depth, therefore dealing with psychological issues at the source as well as the symptom. I also have experience in the arts, with interests in music and theatre. I feel passionate about integrating my experience into practice.
I offer Psychotherapy and Counselling online as well as in-person throughout Southwest London, including Barnes, Wandsworth, Putney, Richmond, Twickenham, Sheen, Wimbledon, Kingston-on-Thames, Hounslow, Chiswick, Fulham and other surrounding South-West London areas.
